Jessica Quintal was born to create, from drawing to photography, even finger painting with her son–it is her destiny and her life passion. As a professional Photographic Artist for 4 years, with an incredible natural talent, she has been able to produce amazing work.

Jessica is an award winning photographer, including a print in the Professional Photographers of America Loan Collection, a highly prestigious international award.

Jessica is a student of art and is currently pursuing a Master of Photography.

We are thrilled to welcome Jessica to Mimosa.  Her beautiful collection “In the Eye of the Beholder” is sure to leave you wanting more. Come out and meet Jessica Quintal on Friday, April 1 from 5-7pm.

Mimosa is pleased to welcome Dr. Melanie Watkins, author of newly released Taking My Medicine.  Taking My Medicine chronicles Dr. Mel’s journey from teenage mother to becoming a successful physician.

Melanie Watkins always dreamt of becoming a doctor. When she found herself sixteen and pregnant, that dream seemed out of reach. Having been raised by a single mother, Melanie knew the challenges single motherhood presented. Despite the uphill climb, Melanie made the decision to raise her child on her own. This is an inspiring story of faith and perseverance as a teenage mother beats insurmountable odds to create a brighter future for herself, her son, and her community.
